Theme 6: Healthy Living and Lifestyle summary

Each of us has different habits. However, we sometimes try to do our best and do sth for our health.

For example Martin:

I generally try to have a healthy lifestyle. I think about a sensible diet, sport (doing regular exercises), not smoking cigarettes and not drinking plenty of alcohol. Each member of my family usually eats what my mum makes. We aren’t fussy. There are different meals: from really healthy ones to some sort of junk food. Nobody smokes and takes drugs. Of course, as far as I know about that ;)What about sport?? My dad goes running every day. However, my mother and sister don’t follow his example. Although we care about our health, we frequently have too little time to choose what is appropriate for us. In the end… An old proverb says “a healthy mind is in a healthy body”. I truly believe that.

Paul does push ups and goes jogging almost every day. He also eats with his whole family. His mother is a great cook. In addition, her meals are really healthy. Both his mum and dad don’t smoke cigarettes and don’t drink a lot of alcohol. However, Paul doesn’t follow their example and sometimes gets blind drunk ;)
As far as Christopher is concerned he also eats healthily. He cares about his figure. So, he often does exercises. Guess what his results from the physical test were?? It’s obvious that he passed that “exam” with flying colors. His dad and mum sometimes even train with him.  Nevertheless, he isn’t fond of vegetables. He eats plenty of sweets instead of them. His family also eats meals together and takes delight in delicious and nutritious food.

And here is some information about Martin's habits once again:

Since I have a sweet tooth I often eat loads of cakes and other sweets during some parties. Another drawback of my lifestyle is that I’m  extremely busy and I hardy ever take a rest. I realize that it’s harmful, but I this like way of life.  I do not always do my best and prepare healthy meals. From time to time I make junk food dishes because it’s quite fast.
I’ve scored 48 points from a healthy lifestyle test.  On the other hand, I gained 65 points so I’m quite satisfied with the results. My strongest points as far as sport is concerned are my determination and condition. I like jogging so I really enjoyed the Copper test.
On the other hand,  I sometimes have  problems with some activities and tasks that require good dynamics and agility.  I did the worst in the flexibility test. I’m perfectly convinced that sport is extremely significant in our life. And that test confirmed it. We all noticed that if we want to be satisfied with ourselves we must do our best to keep fit as how we feel physically affects the way we feel mentally.
